Why do the Aaron Connolly threads keep getting locked or deleted?

Yet you reply to me and effectively invite a response?

Don't be an idiot Randy. It's a message board, people post things and others respond. It's got a reply function and everything. Continue being a hypocrite without admitting it and I'll continue to remind you of some of your not so stellar moments.
s***ing myself.

I may require the protective services of your clansmen. Do they take payment in cash or digitally?
We don't take payment at all Randy. Well, we do but only from Nobby. He's a bit of a special case in more ways than one. We just fight for the greater good mate. Because we're decent fellas really. We might not be pretty but we try to do the right thing and to be nice to other Boro fans. And you should do the same. And so should BoroFur. Here endeth the bumfaced lesson.

Or he just doesn't care - no one is so stupid that they keep making the same mistakes over and over again on such a basic level.

Clearly he didn't really take onboard the "learning" from this:
Why don’t we start a thread about all the other Boro players who have left their house over the bank holiday weekend?

Think a few on here need to get a grip. A player who has been at the club for one day slated for going out for a drink/meal. Then a load of comments slating his girlfriends appearance, hope no one from the club reads this rubbish

It’s not about that. It’s about someone coming here because they’ve had off the field issues at their contracted club who then chooses to post on social media about their night out in Newcastle within a day or so of joining the club.

If he’s trying to show he’s changed this is an own goal.

Should he just sit in his hotel room until May? Having a night out isn’t a sign of off field issues, it’s what everyone does

It’s not the way to start your time at a new club when you’re trying to show your off the field issues are in the past. Doing it is one thing, posting about it on social media is another and the fact he removed his post speaks volumes.

Who you trying to kid? The thread was tittle tattle shitstirring of the highest order.

For starters you've taken that quote in a different context. Secondly i was commenting on the post Connolly made himself and particularly in the context of his off the field problems and the current covid situation in football. I want the best for my team, so i don't think raising it as an issue is unreasonable.

Some people need to get off their high horses on here, bitter middle aged men who've forgotten what its like to be a young lad.

There's no evidence that he was breaking any club rules so why don't we give the lad a chance. If he performs on the pitch then no one will care about his social life and if he doesn't then its his own career that he'll ruin.

I'd rather give someone a second chance in life than write the kid off before he's even pulled a red and white shirt on.

maybe he doesn't give a **** what some randos think of him and isn't trying to show anything?

He probably doesn't care what I think, however I hope he cares what the two clubs he has contractual relationships think - the fact he took the post down indicates it was ill-advised at best.

I wasn't talking about showing the fans, however having the fans on your side is clearly beneficial and making a positive start is important.

Do you not see that it's probably also got something to do with his past reputation?

I can see both sides to it. I don't think it's just "bitter middle aged men".

This is insane. If I was a footballer who'd just signed for Brighton... I'd probably go and explore London... Same with any other major city...

It's not like he's posted a drunken selfie with a kebab at 3am. His girlfriends posted a pic of the millennium bridge, when it's dark?... Am I missing something here?

I wouldn't say it's insane. I guess it's not normal times. (Record Covid cases, and club with Covid outbreak).

I can see why some people think it's daft to post it on social media. I can see why some people don't care.

So this whole thread, and the others before it, are because there's a picture of his girlfriend in front of a bridge when it's dark? - That really is insane.

He's not breaking any rules being "out" in Newcastle.... When I saw the thread, before looking for the Instagram post, you're all acting as if he's been caught in a busy nightclub off his bonce.

As I said before, covid-aside, he's left a club on loan because of some off the field issues, the first thing he's done here is post all over social media that he's out on a night out in Newcastle - it's a stupid thing to do. When you take Covid into account and the fact the squad is currently decimated, it's even more stupid.
He went shopping and then for a meal he’s not exactly getting p1ssed up doing shots and chasers. The lad has done nothing wrong. As for social media it’s her job to be all over it.

"You're all acting" - I've already said I'm not bothered either way.

If you're determined it's insane, OK... people rarely try to see the other side.

I believe there were some pictures post in a bar/restaurant that were subsequently deleted.

My understanding is he posted on Instagram but has subsequently deleted it.
