Why do we allow these parasites to keep robbing us

You do know the money goes to the treasury & not the Queen.

Sorry but your conclusion to that statement is simply wrong.

The Soveriegn grant is paid to the royal household as a % of the profits of the Crown Estate. Therefore a % of this money is syphoned off to the royals. And the nuance is that the grant can never be less than the previous year, so once we allow them a % of this, they will get it every year onwards. Thieving corrupt barstewards
 
Because Kate is beautiful, and Harry has done the decent thing with the foreign woman and her children, and the Queen has dedicated her life to us and the country and brings in a fortune through the tourists.

So we forgive them being parasites and having a paedophile nonce in the family and any other gremlins they might possess.

Because they can. I'm afraid it seems to be (animal) human nature that if you can be top dog, and dominate the rest, you do it.

Lots of rich (greedy) leaders at the top of plenty of countries sadly.

Wikipedia: "On George III's accession he surrendered the income from the Crown lands to Parliament, and abrogated responsibility for the cost of the civil government and the clearance of associated debts. As a result, and to avoid pecuniary embarrassment, he was granted a fixed civil list payment and the income retained from the Duchy of Lancaster". The law has been changed a few times since then of course.

It might be interesting to know the legal situation with respect to the huge acreage of Crown lands if the monarchy was ever abolished or the Civil List canceled, assuming the UK was still a country of laws. It must be worth many billions.
 
I have a cap - fact 3 caps, a fly fishing wax cap, a hideous tartan effort - (goodness only knows where that came from ) ,and my pops tweed cap,that still smells of him and makes me emotional when doing a Biden sniff before donning.

Nail on the head I'm afraid.....am in principle a republican but it won't be allowed or practical now.....our chance was in the 19th century, but British establishment always gives just enough crumbs to the masses to keep em on side. See also the Conservatives and levelling up with these budget announcements, probably insignificant but will be enough to keep them in power come the next election!
