Why we won’t make the play offs & why it’s not a disaster.

Would be nice to be in and around the play offs for most of this season. I won't be too disappointed if we don't make them, it's just good to see us making progress and developing a young team. Hopefully we wont lose too many in the summer, both centre backs are capable of stepping up as is Tav and maybe Dijksteel.
There will be losses, but I am not so disappointed with losing as losing with a poor tactical and playing performance.

However the current squad are never going to score enough or ask enough questions of the opposition. For example today, we are crying out for a focal point up front. A traditional CF, back to goal, h
Too early to say we won't be in the mix, I think Fletcher could be a game changer for us and one good creative signing

To be honest, given what the national situation is with Covid-19, I'm not at all fussed about promotion this year. I'm happy that we've got something to watch on a weekly basis and more often than not, it's actually pretty good stuff.

We were off the boil yesterday, whether it be fatigue from Covid-19 cases, lack of training or even just lack of match sharpness. Birmingham wanted it more after the horror show they put in at St Andrews the other week. Not to sound too unambitious but I'll take an honorable mid-table finish now.

Hourihane would improve us
Mowatt would be an improvement
I think the key will be Britt going , maybe in a swap with someone Neil fancies
Wing looks like he is going .
Walker will go out on loan
Wood will go out on loan
Burrell has gone out on loan
That's 7 possible movements of players , 2 possible ins , 5 possible outs that will be replaced you would think .
Our hopes rely on who Neil brings in for the 5 . Will he go for it ?
We will know in 2 weeks .
And that's without a bid coming in for Paddy , Tav or Spence .

I certainly hope Neil stays on for next season at least, but I think it's optimistic it will be in front of a 'fan-filled' Riverside for the start of next season. I think it's going to take some time before the place will be open as normal again .. same with signings. It's going to be hard to get the right players he wants in, especially with a lack of funds. Hope I'm wrong and we find some way to make some great signings come the Summer window ... but it's gonna be tough going.

A few fans will probably be allowed back in select areas appropriately distanced, but it will be that way until we start seeing the results of the vaccination rollout bring numbers down significantly enough .. by the sounds of it they're messing it up already in some areas with certain folk having their 2nd jab canceled or delayed .. if it's not that then it's anti-vaxxers dishing out as much nonsense as they can online or where ever they can daily, which is doing us no good at all in getting us back to normality.

I do wonder when most of the country will have received it but it's going to take time. This c#nt of a virus is here to mess things up for some time yet. (hate to sound so negative but I just think it's likely looking at things as they stand)
Only allowed about 7,000 fans at the buffalo bills game last night. stadium is pretty big about 80,000, I think off the top of my head ,and ever one of those fans had to be tested for covid before they could even walk through the door.
Plus it is a completely open stadium apart from the corporate boxes.

Hourihane would be a superb signing at this level, bags of energy and a good technician. Good for 7 goals and 7 assists a season. Wing out and CH in would be an amazing bit of business.

Britt our and Dheidiou in would also be good for a Warnock side. With Fletcher back and Akpom able to play CF or wide then that would be a good set of options
