Harsh.

Howson has been largely excellent all season.

Only last week we played very well against Swansea, a far better team than Millwall, and Howson played the full match.

Nothing to do with Howson, it was just a better performance against a poor team. Howson is better at picking a forward pass than Morsy or Saville (although Saville gets in the box more due to his role)

I'd say it was more down to the fact we only had the 2 midfielders rather than 3. Morsy sat in, which allowed Saville to play in a much more advanced role.

If we go 4-4-2 it needs to be either Morsy or Howson sitting, with Saville or Tav box-to-box.

He's one of our best, most consistent player by a country mile. Can only think of McNair on the same level.
