Wolves turn down 15m

Agree with this, he is always blamed for having no assists but some of the misses the Wolves strikers make when they are put on a plate is ludicrous.
I am not so sure this is a valid argument. This problem has existed all his career. He also offers very little when our of possession.

White and Jordan reckon Conte is going to get his man for £20m. I think he'd do well for Conte.

They said Traore is a Ferrari with a learner driver at the wheel or a speedboat without a brain.

In a Man City or a Liverpool I think he’d be amazing .
beat a man or 2 , get it close to the 18 yard line then pass the ball

I reckon Conte would play him right wing back in the hope he makes the position his own. He could be very good in that position similar to Jones here. Emerson Royal is garbage so think they may play him there
Exactly this. Conte will use him the same way he did with Victor Moses at Chelsea.

Jones offers more end product and does his defensive duties better. He hasn't progressed at Wolves and that is not the fault of all the players around him.

Traore is good at football
But he is not a good footballer.
Everyone has seen him when he hasn't got the ball he often just stands there watching the game go on around him. When the ball is on the left and is centred into the box you never see him in the six yard box he is still standing on the right wing.
He needs to get that part of his game sorted if he is to be a top player.
Swap him for Jones? No thanks.

Tottenham are edging closer to agreeing a deal with Wolves to sign Adama Traore having seen a £15m bid for the 25-year-old Spain winger turned down earlier this week. (Athletic)

I work with a wolves fan.

exciting but delivers little is his verdict.

we both agree this also sums up spurs as a club, so he’d fit in well.
😂

No but not ages left on contract and a lot of teams realising he’s unlikely to improve anymore.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Newcastle sign him.
I've seen a few people say this but I can't see why they would want him when they've got Saint-Maximin who is almost exactly the same style of player and arguably more effective (has better stats anyway).

To get the best out of Traore you have to give hm a free role and no defensive responsibility, that would be detrimental to the team though.

It's frustrating because he is the best dribbler I've ever seen, including messi in my opinion, massive difference is that messi knows the precise moment to release the ball or shoot and has that extra second on the ball that mere mortals do not have.

I honestly wouldn't play traore ahead of Jones in our side, he'd have to play as the second striker to fit him in and I don't think I would do that either, as much as I love watching him play.

I loved watching him running at his man or burst into space, no one could live with the shear speed and power, but his passing and decision making has always been questionable. It's like he needs to just ease off the gas slightly and get his head up. That, coupled with a lack of defensive awareness, is what holds him back.

Fantastic as an impact player from the bench, but how much does that limited role lessen his value?

I would love him back, but not for that sort of money.

For me playing his as a traditional winger is just not getting the best from him, he needs to be more John Hendrie & attacking the box, drawing fouls & running at players... though needs to work on his shooting... only Pulis has gotten anything like a player out of him so far..

At the moment Traore is twice the player Jones is. I like Jones and really hope he is going to kick on and keep improving to become something special but we need to stop talking as if he is already the next Trent Alexander Arnold . Traore is in the Spanish squad and has been doing it for some time now in the EPL - I can’t believe anybody given the choice of having either Jones or Traore on our team for Blackburn would pick Jones! Give the lad some space to grow up and develop before we stick our hopes and dreams on his young head.

Traore is a freak athletically and can bypass people with his pace and power and his dribbling skills. And that's about all he's got.
When he shoots, he just hits it hard. In an attacking sense off the ball, he is a passenger. He's fun to watch and that's about it.
He has actually being tried in multiple roles at Wolves and has being the same player in all those roles.
It may sound harsh but despite being only 25 I think he has reached his ceiling because tactically he's just doesn't understand his role and at some point that is on him not the coaching.
