Of all the extremists ,Political, Cultural or Religious the religious ones puzzle me the most ( the woman had a Charlie Hebdo T-Shirt on)
Doesn’t your God have the power to do his own condemnation.? Couldn’t he redirect some Leukaemia or stroke to the sinner rather than rely on little old you?
 
Stabbings and murders seem so commonplace in London nowadays they barely shock people, yet little or nothing seems to be being done. I read somewhere last month that there was a 28% increase this year in teenagers being fatally stabbed in London. Some of it will no doubt be gang related but I rarely read about prosecutions. So sad.

Some on here will tell you that London is safer now than it was 10 years ago. The figures can be skewed to suit your agenda, but I think we all know really.

some parts of London maybe safer. it's a sprawling metropolitan city with lots of suburbs, so the numbers can be skewed in many ways
 
The very fact they were carrying a knife tells me all i need to know about the attacker. Their reasons, while as yet unconfirmed, one assumes were religious. Anyone found carrying a bladed weapon in public should be given an immediate and very lengthy prison sentence.

The perp had a knife
There was a charlie hebdo t-shirt

why must that = religious>

The person stabbed was a women - why isnt it a sexist crime?
The person stabbed was black - why ísn't a racist crime?
The person stabbed wear glasses - why isn't .......


Assumptions like this are no better than the assumptions of Anti Vaxxers

speakers corner has always been about freedom of speech and an area to express and debate many different views away from persecution or violent reprisals. I've been quite a few times recently and had planned to go yesterday. I'd actually got off at marble arch around 12pm with the intention to have a few hours there.

i'd met up with some friends who fancied a pint, then I joined them on a tour that they'd missed the day before.

unfortunately there are a few really unstable folks out there who could snap for whatever reason.. or no reason what so ever.

the fact he was carrying a knife suggests that he was intending to cause harm from the off, although the attack was quite frenzied it did seem to be targeted specifically towards hatum. attempted murder? there are LOADS of cameras and mobile phones recording stuff at speakers corner, I would be very surprised if someone didn't have a recording of him from before the attack.
