Women's Euros 2022 Thread

He uses his Robot Wars voice for football - it's painful!
He's commentatee on women's games for a long time. He seemed to be one of the few commentators who showed a real interest before the game took off. I can't remember if he commentated on the 2005 or 2009 euros, but I'm pretty sure he commentated on the 2011 and 2015 World Cups.

I don't mind his commentary to be fair. Although I think there's was little need for the comment about whether female managers could go on to manage men's teams. No need for that comment when you're commentating on the semi finals of a top international competition.

Wouldn't mind Wiegman managing Boro once she's done with the England job though!

I think Pearce is dreadful. What can you expect from a Bristol City fan?! His whispering tones are pathetic. He is knowledgeable without a doubt. Shame he is such a d@@k!

Many years ago he was the big cheese at Capital Gold in London - and his excitement level in commentary was mega! Something he obviously relayed to his team to copy.

I upset Pearce with a "funny" quip on air at a live phone-in in Bolton on Radio 5Live before the Carling Cup Final. Could see he wasn't amused. After seeing that goal-line thing, I'm even prouder. :D

I watch it regularly, love it.

He's literally the only person watching who fails to grasp what happened. When intellectual behemoth Martin Keown is having to explain the fundamentals to you, you're having a nightmare :)

Managed to wangle a ticket. Currently on wembley way getting annoyed by kids with horns (the blowy ones).

Really good atmosphere building up.

Should be a fun day.
Such a nice atmosphere at these games isn't it? They're already playing sweet Caroline at the fan zone.

I’m not going to pretend to know all the players ( as many seem to) but losing that German lass is huge.

Good luck to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Beth
