Hardly surprising but I wonder if they'll act like a normal seller in these circumstances?
If they genuinely don't want empty blocks during the match I guess they'll need to push down the price closer to kick off?

They will have sold off all their seats for these particular games to resellers who may reduce prices closer to kick off. FIFA wont I suspect even though they said dynamic demand would reduce as well as inflate. Thing is some mugs have paid massive prices even for the less in demand games - they dont want to upset some of them.

Does suggest those prices will drop further though, as resellers won't want an unsold asset on their hands.

Sadly it happens every World Cup but this is by far the worst.

We lucked out on accommodation having booked it long before the draw was made. Was surprised at the quality/cost ratio of Mexican accommodation actually, but a beer costs two quid so maybe not!

One of the highlights of our recent Wembley visit was access to free water.
We booked our New York accommodation through booking.com with free cancellation.
Cancelled the hotel 2 weeks ago and booked a better hotel, nearer Penn station, for £200 cheaper.
Can't even take a bag into the stadium, not even a handbag with a strap. All bags bigger than a purse must be a clear plastic bag.
I suppose its a security issue and can be checked quickly, but anyone wishing to mug you can also see what you're carrying

Actually thought of doing this last night. Happy with CDMX and Guadalajara but a last minute upgrade in Tulum wouldn't go a miss :)

There will definitely be some gaps, but probably only of a noticeable size for some of the smaller games.
One of the issues with the expansion (which I'm generally in favour) is that there are number of games between relative minnows. All the games involving the big sides will be sold out I think.

And there are very few attractive games , i.e featuring two "big" sides (whatever big means), in the Group stages. And the group stages are 69% (72 of 104) of the games.

100% - even the second round won't have many crunch ties.
France v Norway and Colombia v Portugal are probably my highlights of the groups. Brazil/Morocco and Spain/Uruguay look interesting too.
There's a certain beauty in watching the minnows face off though - Scotland v Haiti for example

This is quite common in the states. I went to the Met Life about 3 years ago for an NFL game and it was no bags over a certain size and small ones had to be clear plastic. I'm personally disappointed that Australia weren't drawn in Group J, along with Argentina, Austria and Algeria (instead of Jordan). That would have made some A grade group matches!100% - even the second round won't have many crunch ties.
