Your ideal Centre Mid

With Clarke coming in on the left hand side of the back 3, and (hopefully) Larsen looks to arrive before the deadline next week, who would your ideal player be to properly replace Tavernier?

For me, overall it would be Callum O’Hare, but for what Wilder would want (left footed) it would be either Daniel Johnson or Callum Styles. Maybe Grimes from Swansea but I guess he is very similar to Mowatt.

We need a proper box to box attacking center mid who will provide goals and assists, then I think we can have a right go at the top of the table! utb
 
It's an interesting that you are looking for another attacking midfielder when I think its blatantly main weakness in midfield is a lack of defensive midfielder to break up play and protect the back 3 from counter attacks that have killed us so far and made our defence look way too vulnerable.

That is true as well. Think we missed a trick not signing Choudhury or Pearson at Bournemouth
 
I’ll be happy to try to loan a youngster from prem, like that Hannibal fromMan Utd. Might be available now they have signed another midfielder..
also That Spurs youngster Skipp?

We'd probably be looking at 'Sander Berge' money to make that happen.

'The Danish Sander Berge' Oliver Abildgaard is at Rubin Kazan.. due to FIFA rules in Russia, he's able to suspend his contract for a single year and sign for another club on a FREE TRANSFER 26yo 6'4 he's a left footed defensive midfielder and would look great the other side of Matt Crooks imo

He wants out, he's defo leaving and his contract with Rubin Kazan is currently suspended!!

Cameron Archer on a loan from Aston Villa would be a no brainer for me to play the right hand side of Rodrigo Muniz.

Our transfers have been very much of the Free Transfers, Loan Deals and £3m Transfer Fees.. I'd be very much tempted to drop £3m on Josh Bowler

7 Oliver Abildgaard - Free - Rubin Kazan
11 Cameron Archer - Loan - Aston Villa
10 Josh Bowler - £3m - Blackpool

It's a bit of a change and probably lends itself more to 3-4-3 which Wilder has tinkered with at time..

I would be happy with Bowler but there is a lot of interest in him from teams with money , like Forest, so we would need to be quick .
1) Ohare 2) Berge 3) Chair 4) Bowler , any of them

There’s no chance we’d sign Berge, but he’s exactly what we need. There must be a gem out there!

I’m hopeful some foreign team will come in for him as it would seriously dent Sheff Utd’s chances of promotion.

My thoughts exactly. The only reason I can think is Sheffield are asking ridiculous money. I was of the belief before they played us that he is the best player in the league, and the game against us only reinforced that view.
 
Didn’t Berge cost sheff utd £16m? He is the best midfielder in the league imo but wasn’t Norwood their cdm against us?

Does he? I thought we'd moved on to the lad from PNE who had at least 1 proven season here who was available for less money? Can't see us paying more for that Larsen kid (i would, i like a gamble, plus he's got the ell on value if he turns out well so id 100% be wanting the club to ask Groningen to restart talks)

Styles from Barnsley is one i've liked for a while. Look out for his stats and cant believe Burnley or Norwich haven't signed him, he'd be my first port of call.

He played on the right side of a midfield 3 and completely dominated that space throughout. I thought he was absolutely superb against us, a real clinic in elite central midfield play
