Yusuf

My seat at Loftus Road was next to him on the.front row, he was already there when I turned up well before the game, it gave me a little smile thinking that I would be sat next to this modern day Ayrsome Angel I wasn't knowing what to expect from him, thought that this person would be some unmasked super hero saving Boro fans from untimely deaths, turned out he sings a lot and give big V signs to the QRR fans to our right, which I much prefer to a crusading Unmasked Hero.

I have noticed at Cardiff and WBA when it goes a bit quiet - a group of fans will shout across the the away end - Yusuf, Yusuf - give us a song.

My lad was in amongst it and on the way home he said it was the best boro game he had been to and he's been going for 8yrs. Moments like that will live on in his mind for years. As you said it's what cements these kids as Boro fans for the rest of their lives.

Yusuf is one of a kind and one of the most positive things to come out of the club in recent years.

Credit also to the stewards for allowing it to happen and also for the people sat behind that didn't kick up a fuss.

Football these days is so sterile that it was great to see something so spontaneous. I absolutely loved it
I can understand - its really empowering and fun for younger fans and allows them to use their technology.

Cracking post

You've got friends for life amongst the Boro community.👍
I will echo that comment too. Yusuf once you're a Boro fan you're a fan for life. A bit like the mafia, you cant leave once your a made guy! haha. Keep entertaining the kids and bringing some atmosphere with your passion for the mighty 'Boro.

As a 'oldish' man this warms my heart. Tell the Cockneys when you next talk to one that you are now one of us, we are the friendliest and most passionate fans in the country. UTB and UTY :)

Thinking to this Saturday and Swansea away - I remember last season I got to the Stadium earlyish and and the first person I saw in the away compound was Yusuf.

I think there will be quite a few of us at Swansea this Saturday.....where a little bit of the South Wales valleys will be ringing with the singing of Teessiders (natural and adopted) for the day - (in the voice of the late Bill McClaren).

I'd really love to go to that game but I can't. I lived in South Wales for a long time and I chose the swans over the bluebirds as my second team and went to watch them a lot at the old Vetch. I always want them to do well, but not when they're playing against us.
