They've got some cracking youngsters Villa. Shame none of them likely to make it at Villa apart from Jacob Ramsay.
 
Over the moon with this personally. Was just thinking the other day "would have loved him at Boro" and hey presto.....

Can play deeper/centrally but expect him to be used as a 10. Really good technique and awareness - perfect player to link MF and attack.

A definite upgrade on what we have available in that position currently imo.

Same I’m buzzing with this one. Was one I was hoping would happen but didn’t expect it too at all
 
Is he more likely to be a no10 than play in the middle 2? Where has he been playing for Plymouth?
 
With Silvera and McGree away another option for the 3 behind the striker is always welcome.

I personally love Rogers - so hope Azaz Jones and Rogers will work as a 3

No 10. Tall skinny physique but brilliant technique and scored some worldies this season. Always stands out

Nailed on, he's actually a boro fan - he was at the final in 2004.

Went by himself as all of his family are Chelsea fans, so as a 3 year old he hitchhiked to Cardiff

I thought so just with the conversation above suggesting he would play in midfield.
Good signing in a position we are desperate for a bit of quality.

Probably see Rogers push out to the left and Greenwood/Crooks spend more time on the bench.

When everyone is fit we're stacked for those three attacking positions behind the 9.

Crookes
Greenwood

Gilbert

Arguably too stacked actually, wouldn't be surprised if one or two of those are sold/loaned in the window if FA goes through?

I would be happy with any 3 of Jones, Azaz, Rogers, McGree starting most games.

Does feel now like Crooks will be become a sub when everyone’s available
 
So the obvious thing to do to assess his position is to look at EAFC/FM stats.

It would appear he can play anywhere across the midfield - is quite good at everything without being great at any one thing. Best position is as a creative attacking midfield player

Gilbert’s got to leave on loan.

Forss we have no idea how long he’s out for. But yeah we are well covered. McGree Azaz Rogers is mouthwatering

Gilbert should be loaned out. If he hasn't been able to get any decent game time over the last month then he clearly isn't at the level required.

I'd be interested in Crooks being rotated into the deeper 2 positions. His physicality could be interesting in their also more physical presence on crosses.

His tackling/passing could be a liability
