I haven't seen his speech but I can hear it in my head. And what Sunak has just done is; in a more articulate manner say exactly what Anderson said a few days ago

Quite apt for Sunak the unelected nonentity.Well, that was pointless.
Surely nobody would take extreme action under the guise of protecting us from the howling mob?"I am legislating to extend this parliamentary term indefinitely to combat the risk of "extremists" that seek to disrupt our free and fair elections, by not having one".
That’s what I thought as wellReally really getting concerned. This is not a speech of someone with an election in mind. Rather someone building a reason not to have one, hope I'm being stupidly pessimistic.
Yes like GB NewsA noticeable absence in any examples of extremism , in his ramblings, of the ' threat of right wing extremism '

' Proud patriots ' and all that
Their matra / message would be simple ...
" If it wasn't for 'them ' ( left / Muslim / SNP / Galloway/ Corbynites / students / anarchists / Unions etc ) ... Then there wouldn't be THIS reaction "
Election on hold till it suits them..
Me too, that AI, monotnous, dreary, primary school teacher toneI haven't seen his speech but I can hear it in my head.
