If you watch the documentary he wasn’t. Not sure why they said that in the series. Excellent series though and an amazing part taken by Dr Who.Enjoyed it. I remember reading a lot about it at the time but had not remembered he was the one who called dyno rod out about the blockage
He did well, but there's only one Dr Who.If you watch the documentary he wasn’t. Not sure why they said that in the series. Excellent series though and an amazing part taken by Dr Who.
Not seen it yet eitherHaven't seen it yet. Don't know how his arrest is depicted but I remember being at college in about 1980 and a police sergeant coming in to do a recruitment talk to us. He told us that at the scene of the arrest, Nilsen was chinned by a copper?
Not seen it yet either
Apologies I meant the Feed West series, either been on or coming soon not to sureEh? You started this thread saying you'd just watched it.

The Fred West two-parter is called Appropriate Adult.
Originally broadcast in 2011 it was repeated this week on itv. Available on catch up.
I read Killing for Company back in the day, and it was a difficult read obviously but from what I remember of his personality, Nilsen was well played by David Tennant: just an average guy with some weird, unwired brain that made him think his actions weren't that abnormal. It helped that DT looks a bit like DN, but Tennant played it really well . I also thought Appropriate Adult was an interesting watch, from a different kind of perspective. Dominic West was excellent in that.I thought the drama was excellent and I remember the case from the time and thought tennant was brilliant in his portrayal.
I started to watch the real story documentary but I had to turn it off, as there’s one thing depicting the story in a drama but it quite another to see and hear the real Nielsen who did kill and chop up the bodies boast and almost crow about how he did it with no sign or remorse.
I thought that was a step to far and felt as though nilsen was once again calling the narrative.
