QPR pubs

Where is everyone heading for a pre-match pint, I know on a previous visit pubs round Shepherds Bush tend to be home only, so are people finding somewhere a couple of tube stops away??

Normally pretty difficult to get in a watering hole near the ground. Security on the door at the majority of pubs close.

The last time we went, you had to walk right round the away end and enter the far side, it was a right pain but I think after the let you out the other end, so quicker walk back to the tube.

I was thinking about heading to Hammersmith too. When I worked there the QPR fans didn't seem to gravitate that far so we should be okay down there. Just a short ride up to Shepherd's Bush Market from there.

There is a pub near Ravenscourt Park that is used by MSS now as a base. 3 Tube stations including a Hammersmith change to S/Bush Market. I'll find the name. I have been in Defectors Weld on Shepherds Bush Green before our game in 2016. There is a Wetherspoon bar in the older Bush shopping centre but its home colours only on match days. Quite a few pubs in Hammersmith close the tube station as said. Hammersmith is not a QPR area.

edit - Prince of Wales Town house.

It's a good pub the Prince of Wales. I used to stay there when it was Flynn's. It's easy enough to get to Shepherd's Bush from there or down to the pubs near Hammersmith station

Defectors weld is only 5mins walk from ground and a good old fashioned london pub.

Shepherds Bush Market is nearest tube station from memory.. some nice places to get a bite to eat nearby along the side of the massive shopping centre can't remember what its called Westfield centre thanks trophy wife !

I agree with Boro thru and thru about the DW, not sure what its policy is now on away fans, they were OK in 2016.

It is a Young's pub, I prefer Fuller's beers. But both generally run quality traditional London Pubs.

They closed the traditional pie and mash cafe though.

If posters like a pub with character, charm and history and good beer in Hammersmith, this one is very hard to beat.

Up to the Victorian period the River Thames was the motorway and sewer of London and most of the developments were close to the River, particularly away from Central London. So the early pubs are close to the River.

Gorgeous pub. But it's a bit to small and cosy to be a pre match drinker. Plus it's quite a hike to the ground from there

Great posts Red until you chose Fullers over Youngs. No chance.:)
