Links on incomings at all?

We're only after two more.

We've still got the links to Riis Jakobsen and Strand Larsen for the striker.

The midfielder is a bit quieter but there's still Teddy Teuma that popped up a few weeks ago.

We’re definitely not going down the ‘proven’ route in regards to strikers this summer are we!
Rodrigo Munoz and Matthew Hoppe have never hit double figures in a season yet, Marcus Forss has, once, in League 1 for MK Dons.
Then we have the likes of the aforementioned Riis Jacobson and Strand Larsen, who’ve both only ever hit double figures once, last season, same applies to Gyokeres who has his fans.

And I don’t know anything about Teddy Teuma, except I quite like his name!

Pretty hard to hit double figures when you're sat on the bench behind the best striker the championship has ever seen, or you're a 19 year old playing for Bundesliga whipping boys who only scored 25 goals between them.

Don't know who Munoz is.

Muniz, on the other hand, will hit double figures this season and I will happily engage in a charity bet with you on this. You up for it?

I want all our strikers to hit double figures mate, I’m all for taking charity bets, but I wouldn’t wanna be hoping players for my team fail, I want them to succeed.

Might be a bit tougher to work deals out one likely to be a moan while the other a buy . We might not find a midfielder that we want to lash the money in this window especially in our budget .

See if you can obtain a press-pass from the club and ask for yourself - from the horses mouth [so to speak](y)

Midfielder:
Teddy Teuma: interesting out of the blue link, seems like a very Kieran Scott type move. Pretty consistently worn the number 17 shirt through his career. 7, 10 & 11 available.

Ethan Ampadu: Sassuolo, Empoli and Venezia all linked with a loan move with Spezia rumoured to be close with an option to buy.

Hannibal Mejbri: Birmingham strongly linked and close to securing a loan deal with no option to buy. FC Andora have rocked the boat with a rumoured £21m transfer deal on the table.

Striker
Jorgen Strand Larsen: our top target. can’t see anyone else coming in higher than us given that we were significantly higher than our competition who have since moved on.
€10M (£8m) is the offer €12M (£10m) is what they are holding out for.

Emil Riis: Preston need to sell and we’ve enquired. Surprise, surprise they have set the asking price at £8m the same as we offered for Larsen. They mentioned ‘players’ inferring that enquiries have been made for more than one of their players..

Viktor Gyökeres: Coventry need to sell too. All fun and games asking for £20m until you’re potentially throwing away £10m and your big transfer plans for the summer.

Larsen has worn the 10 & 11, Riis is currently 19 with Preston whilst big Vik has worn the 10 & 11 for club and country.

The Newyddion Report: August Edition

On the face of it you would think that Keiren Scott would get his first picks Teuma for around £4m and Larsen for £8m.. I think there’s more to it than that. The number 7 has been mysteriously not mentioned and Dael Fry was expected to leave for premier pastures new going on what was said last summer. Lenihan has been brought in and as much as competition is healthy I can see Fry wanting to play second fiddle if a move to the prem could be on the cards. £8m sounds about right given the low ball prem purchases of Spence and Tavernier. Barnsley I believe accepted a £1.5m bid for Michał Helik to move back to Poland (although he still hasn’t gone) I would expect this sort of fee and this sort of player to be brought in as back up to Lenihan should Dael Fry move on.

So what of the transfer fees brought in? The ‘Andraz Sporar Money’? Should he have hit that goals scoring target and we still not went up. The Siliki loan deal had an option or even an obligation to buy should certain criteria have been met. The transfer money? the Fry pot? the Sporar savings? the Siliki slush fund.. the shirt numbers 7, 10 & 11

The players enquired about at Preston?
Teddy Teuma was out of the blue.. and his shirt numbers don’t fit. I wanted us to be in for Ben Whiteman and now I’ve convinced myself we might be in for him.
THE NUMBER SEVEN
£4m for Ben Whiteman would get the ball rolling.. see a bit of movement. Plus I think they enquired about Duncan Watmore. A cash plus player deal might suit all parties?
Larsen in on £8m would wipe out most of the remaining budget one would think.

Unless we moved Dael Fry on for a frightening cheap £8m to a prem side then brought back up in on loan or on a free.

THAT would leave us with just enough to table a much needed £10m to Coventry for the services of one Viktor Gyökeres!

7 Ben Whiteman
10 Jorgen Strand Larsen
11 Victor Gyokores

I feel like I’ve just cracked the Da Vinci Code!

The defender I hear you ask?

Ethan Ampadu in on loan with an option to buy. Rebooted, reinvigorated, reinvented.

Centre back, right side of a front three, defensive midfield and all in Wilders capable hands. Game time and a route back to the prem.

We've signed 10 players. I'm not sure Wilder or anyone can moan about lack of investment.

Whilst many are 'free' or loans they will cost more than a few quid in wages.

Even if we didn't sign another player after Clarke Wilder can't moan. He's had more investment than the majority of champo managers. Including many who have started far better on a fraction of the budget.

I expect one more. Probably offering a few quid at Larson or the Preston bloke. That would probably see Watmore or Akpom moved on.
