Pension funds would have collapsed today...

Truss has to go, it’s not even up for debate.

I though her being gone by the summer was one of my bolder predictions, she’ll be lucky to see the year out.

As much as her economic policy has been disastrous, the Bank of England shouldn’t escape scrutiny.

This country is hooked on cheap credit, we all know friends, family and neighbours who are living well beyond their means - 5% mortgages, cars on finance, excess spending on credit cards.

The BOE should have been slowly increasing interest rates years ago to bring the cost of borrowing back to a normal level (2-3%).

Instead what we’ll now have is a sharp and sudden surge in rates that households simply won’t be able to cope with.

Especially considering that the majority of Tory voters are only a couple of missed paydays from financial meltdown.

Why working and even middle classes vote Tory is unfathomable. Hopefully this reality check will lead to many of them thinking hard about whether to vote for them again in future.
Exactly, this latest budget shows exactly who they are trying to protect. Not sure how so many people haven’t been able to see this for so long.

It’s genuinely unbelievable the level of damage they are being able to cause to almost every aspect of society. Surely they can’t survive this and it makes them unelectable for a long time to come

Treasury financial secretary, Andrew Griffith. The first minister to break cover. Just did an interview with Sky News. It’s online. If you’re not incandescent with rage now.
You will be when you have seen this

The interview is a disgrace; no responsibility shouldered for this mess and trying to blame Ukraine whilst perpetuating the lie that it'd a global issue we're experiencing.

We're not. It's entirely self-inflicted by this hapless government and its about time we all took to the streets and forced them out, for all our sakes.

Do you have a link, I've found about 5 videos and all of them make me want to punch his stupid face.

Sky news says government department have been told to find “efficiency savings”.

I was sure LT said she wouldn’t be looking for cuts during her campaign.

I am not as political as many on this board but why should so many peoples lives be blighted by someone as incompetent as her.

If only Nobby had been right about who would win the contest to be PM things wouldn’t be like this.
