I get it but there has to be Plan B aswell. If you do it all the time you become predictable and invite the high press and that can have disastrous consequences just like at Hull.
I see the risk and reward aspect but that doesn't mean you have to be rigid and inflexible to the point of shooting...
Once sat in the upper tier and had to climb over the seats in front to get in our seats. Place is a death trap with the bars and toilets down one long corridor. Someone must be getting a bung to give them a safety certificate
I'm taking my daughter aged 6 on Saturday to her first match. I thought it would be £10 tops.
How naive am I. It is ridiculous though.
Just to provide some perspective. Also go to Yorkshire cricket and junior membership for her age is free. Get them hooked young and reap the benefits later...
I'm remembering one particularly ropey one from when I was a kid. Overlooking the Riverside at Stockton - think it was called the Blue Mirage.
Went in with Grandad once and when I asked why there was no furniture he said it was because it got broke. That was from a man whose local was the Brown Jug
Its my intention to speak to Cleveland police on Friday about this. I've found that if you go to the source (West Yorkshire ) they start asking for names and addresses not to follow up your complaint but for other reasons sadly
Add to that some of the most overzealous policing I've seen in year
West Yorkshires finest closed the bar in Wetherspoons and told all Boro to leave. There was no trouble going on. Seemed like overkill
After the game...
Can't speak for buses. However the trains are awful. Most people travelling to the Riverside would be likely reliant on Transpennine or Northern Rail and both are very fond of cancellations
