Perhaps I was misremembering and it was not the railways I was particularly thinking about , but when John McDonnell was Shadow Chancellor he was talking about various institutions and he said the nationalisation of the Energy Industry firms would cost nothing as no compensation was due.

Well the last shadow chancellor under Corbyn threaten to not bother “buying the railways back” but just to take them over with no compensation. This created a bit of a rumpus in the world market. Is this still the case ?

Bamford is only 30 and has a few years in him still. Last night Boro knew all about him , but with Clarkey having one of his onfield snoozes a few yards away from Bammers ,he was always going to score. When Leeds go up I’d have him back to partner Latte. No chance of course.

Bamford is a class player. We virtually gave him to Leeds. I still rate him and he has an England cap now.

Andy Hinchcliff it certainly was. He is awful. He just rambles and certainly doesn’t realise that sometimes silence is preferred. As soon as he was announced I turned the volume down. Is there a crowd noise only option. ?

A great plus for us tonight has that it has shown Boro are way below being a promotion side. I know we have injuries but we have several players who can be dispensed with. Leeds are no great shakes but they deserve to do the double over us. LL is great. We need more like him.

I cannot imagine what Woodgate , a class footballer, thinks when he looks and sees Clarke a total liability, in Boro’s defence, looking totally lost , just blundering around in a game totally above his level.

Come on Boro . Keep attacking, this Leeds defence is poor. Just a tiny criticism of Boro. Get rid of Clarke , he is useless. Maybe he might head a goal if he’s played upfront, but he cannot defend.
