A bunch of albums turned 20 just recently and had me feeling nostalgic. HMV was still the place to go for music before streaming took over. I remember MTV2 being essential viewing on an early evening and they used to show a lot of great live performances.
QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf
Audioslave -...
Always interesting to look back at these old line-ups and see where bands are now. 2000 had the Britpop feel with Nu-metal starting to influence. When Rage are that far down the bill you must have some big names booked. Elliott Smith on one of the other stages too.
Great show! Was fortunate enough to see the live show in Salford a few years back. They eventually did an arena tour which for a pretty unknown sitcom from the early 2000's was pretty impressive.
I remember the buzz around this game. I think the police were expecting bother and we were expecting a manic day in the pub I worked in. It turned in to a damp squib.
Lanegan, Warnie and now Taylor Hawkins. Gotta feel for Dave Grohl but also to mention Pat Smear who has been a member of three bands that lost members prematurely. Sad day for rock.
I've booked my Mum on one in May for the first leg of her journey to visit. I'm always concerned that KLM will pull out of DVT but when I did some digging online there was talk of them increasing the flights. Not sure now.
