Last night was an absolute disaster for staff leaving the day shift. Staff leaving at 8.0pm were still on site 1 hour 15/30 minutes later with still the drive home. The council should have discussed this with the hospital for advice on times when a large group of workers would be leaving. No doubt it will be the same all week?

It was a total nightmare last night getting away a 8 the problem was they still had traffic lights working at roseberry park entrance even though road was shut after it meaning it was only letting a few cars leave before turning red. Should have just turned them off and let the traffic flow. Also people ignoring road closures signs and having to do a u turn in road. Let’s see how tonight goes 😢

Yes my wife got in at 9:30pm in stead of 8:20pm. Should have been close 9pm

Maybe 9pm start is too late to be working on a residential street outside a hospital? It is a main road but people do live along it, especially as the roadworks moves gradually along Marton Road.
I got back to my street yesterday teatime to find half the road was dug up and there was heavy plant, flashing lights and workmen all over laying cables. If that had started at 9pm it would be a nightmare for the people living right next to it.

It’s only closed for 6 nights so I imagine they are working through the night. But I’m not entirely sure

Looking above road closed until midnight. That is late - I can hear the roadworks at the bottom of my street now. But roadworks in the early hours of the morning for one night would be quite severe on residents.

Pretty sure the signs that are up say road closed 7pm - Midnight. So only working on it between those times i think

Not turning off traffic lights and simple things to ease traffic flow during works is endemic, common sense seems to go out of the window.

My bug bear is when they close carriages to do grass cutting and drainage clearing, they always put the cones right up to the end junction, usually a roundabout with lights - meaning three lanes of traffic reduced to one and long tail backs. Just stop the cones and open three lanes before the junction as soon as that bit of road has been dealt with. Traffic can then clear the closed section more easily.
