Imagine you would be fairly far down the list before we had a worse option than a half fit Coburn as our only recognised striker
Plenty of other clubs managed to bring in strikers so players were clearly available

How strict is our signing model we seem to be so idealistic its becoming unobtainable.

its easy to be a 'Berra Supporter' when theyre winning and you cant get to your keyboard quick enough to talk of your OWN pride and confidence in what is going to happen next - the declarations of love for the football club all comes spilling out, like a friday night 12 pint drunk who hits fresh air between the pub and the chippy, has a mouth full of puke, just gushing, slavvering and belching to get out.

* just as an aside, cos its been done beyond death on this board, Steve Gibson could have Billions of pounds available - but just like the skunks up the road who have a nations oil wealth backing them up - you will find that you cant spend it as, how and when you wish.

but ive a sense that the football game isnt for everyone looking at some of the contribution so far in 2024.

What a load of rubbish. Seriously. Carrick got it wrong yesterday he admitted it. We need to get behind the team and management. I would like to get back in the premiership like everyone else but to be honest we are nowhere near ready to compete. Just watching Arsenal dismantle West Ham. They like many teams would slaughter us if we were up there. This is nothing to do with lack of ambition. The economics of football have changed. We will always be in the position where we have to sell players to survive. Pretty much like 86 other teams in the league. This is not about a lack of ambition but about economics and surviving.
Anyone who thinks Gibson doesn't want to achieve needs to give their head a shake. He's the best thing to happen to this football club. I hope the people who want Gibson out understand the grass isn't always greener, there are plenty of clubs who could only dream to be in the position we are! UTB.
