Your favourite stand up set.

Bill Burr
Dave Chappelle
Stewart Lee
Chris Rock
Frank Skinner
Ali Wong

are all very good.

Newman & Baddiel - Live & in Pieces was my favourite when I was younger, but I watched it back recently and not sure it was as good as I thought. It is 30 years old though. I did love the Mary Whitehouse Experience as a kid.

I find Stewart Lee occasionally funny but no more than that. Barely tolerate Steve Coogan and Bill Hicks never really did it for me. But...
Connelly was untouchable in that era i absolutely loved him but with years in a LA his later stuff wasnt very funny he was always funniest regaling tales of his youth in Glasgow

I know he nicked a lot of his shtick from Bill Hicks but Denis Leary’s ‘No Cure For Cancer’ was fantastic, especially for when it was released. The Big Yin was my favourite, before he went and Married Pamela Stephenson

Shaun Walsh was one of the best. I saw Jason Byrne at the town hall a few years back now. He was class. Love to see some of the comedians on The Big Mouth circuit too.

Kevin Bridges is the only stand up comedian to make me laugh out loud in the last 10 years.

Found all of his stuff very funny

Have you seen his new show ( post covid) not as good as his early stuff but still good he’s in southern Ireland.

Yes. Watched it Christmas Day night. Really enjoyed it. I had had a good few Bucks Fizz by that point mind which always helps when watching stand up comedy.

I can’t give any credit to a blatant joke thief like Denis Leary. All of his best bits were stolen from Hicks and other acts. Even the song that made him famous originated as a bit stolen from Louis CK, who is one of the best in recent years. His SNL monologue is fantastic.
