saturday

To be totally objective tho finny, you were mocking chicken runner with your post (and then talking about the miner strikes) when he (and I) were musing about hypocrisy if we chose to walkout.

You’re right though, people should all respect each other’s choices.
That’s not objective - it’s your view.
I raised a point, which I think is important then used an example that isn’t liked

If you’re hoping for there to be a mass walkout on 30 minutes and an empty ground I think you’re going to be disappointed Finny. There’ll be a fair chunk from the south stand and a handful from the north.
There'll be a large % who don't even know there's any plans do do so. Not everyone spends their time here or on social media

Let’s get this clear - this thread was set up to mock and you and others were happy to engage.
OK you're right, I did make a light-hearted response initially though I didn't intend it to be especially mocking of anyone, more just making light of the situation in general. I've said on other threads I understand the walkout though I don't feel I can participate necessarily.

Will you be walking out?

True but they'll probably figure it out quite quickly if its a large proportion doing it.

Why has the 30 minute mark been chosen anyway? I'd have thought around 70 would gain more traction.

i hope we score the in the 32nd minute on saturday and win 1-0 UTB
Why antagonise with this post ?. A group of fans who do a lot of good for the support in the stadium and affects the atmosphere for us Boro fans present at home games. The "FOODBANKS" which in turn helps Middlesbrough town Communities in general.

Why everyone may not agree for one reason or another with the 30 min protest, this group, who to me, seem to be looking out for the less well heeled, and the supporters who have not only to pay for themselves but also a few kids etc.

They have shown a lot dignity in my book over a period of time. The Leadbitter banner springs to mind, even the recognition of Gibson being a local lad.
They aren't doing it just for themselves. Says a lot of good about them in my book. Remember they are a bit of a reflection of us all.

A wedge has been driven between fans and club and is now extending to between groups of fans. Brilliant. Just what we need.
I hope we win comfortably so that the divisions become a background issue.

I hope that any protest, from whatever quarter, will be peaceful without someone thinking that a flare, pitch invasion, or shirt burning, will focus Gibson's attention.

#UTB

This is it - some fans are taking a stand and those that don't care at all about ticket prices or don't care enough are sitting down.
What a ridiculous comment - you have absolutely no idea whether those that don't choose to walk out don't care about ticket prices or not - it's not for you to project your view on what's right or wrong on others

I must admit I read the OP as just a bit of a laugh about it all.... (not sure how it was intended)

I think we are too quick to jump to the negative on here.

Quite often people are just on here for a giggle, so not everything has to be taken quite so seriously.
