Lee Anderson says 'Islamists have got control of Sadiq Khan'

Presumably you are talking about the Mayor of London? He didn’t accuse him of not doing his job properly though did he?

He has tried feebly today to justify what he said by sort of accusing him of not doing his job properly but he knows what he was doing.
See also cleverly’s Stockton slur I didn’t say it was a s hole I said he’s was an s mp.

Err no you didn’t

You are out of touch with the majority of our country and are rather arrogantly misjudging their ability, mental capacity, dress sense and resolve!

You see this a lot on Twitter: “The majority of the country support Anderson” etc etc. Sadly it’s all BS. The majority of the country are centre leaning and they think the likes of Anderson and parties like Reform are unelectable.

It is extremely arrogant to presume that the majority of the country are right wing when the evidence points to the opposite.

The funny thing is that the Twitter accounts that spout this rubbish have a small following. If they had millions of followers then they might have a point, but they don’t.

Twitter is an absolute cesspit.

There must be as many fake accounts as real ones.

Facebook isn't any better when it comes to sh1tstirring.
Both platforms designed to keep people receiving information that confirms their pre-existing biases. If a person is not aware soon all they receive is one type of information, that deliberately influences how they think.

All roads lead back to Brexit.

Idiots like Anderson, Braverman, Truss etc look at the brexit vote and Johnson's brexit related landslide GE victory and assume those things happened because most people have right wing or far right ideology. They keep thinking the trick can be repeated and when it doesn't work they only assume they've not gone far enough.

The flaw in their logic though, is although there was an element of racism to the brexit vote, there were many many other reasons people voted for it: to give Cameron a kicking, because they were fed up and wanted a change, any change. Because they believed the lies about it making us better off or the ridiculous spin around "sovereignty".

It's true that most racists voted for brexit, but it's a minority of leave voters who are racist. Even concerns about immigration aren't necessarily racist. I think most who voted for brexit were badly informed and believed the lies. Not because they're all neo nazis. Plus of course it was barely above 50% who voted for it anyway.

So way way off a majority who think like 30p Lee does.

Same for Johnson. People didn't vote him because he's a racist. Most voted for him because they didn't realise he's a racist, he made promises he couldn't keep and because he's not Jeremy Corbyn.

'Pudding' not the most obviously Teesside sobriquet is it? Noroomforsweet might have carried a bit more conviction.

These ruthless, bigoted Tories would have Enoch Powell smiling from his grave

On 20 April 1968, Enoch Powell, the most divisive Conservative politician of the post-war era, made his notorious “rivers of blood” speech at a meeting of the Conservative Political Centre in Birmingham.

Powell was inflamed by Labour’s Race Relations Act, which gave equal rights to immigrants. His speech remains one of the most notorious events in British political history.

Powell, a brilliant classical scholar, referred to the Roman poet Virgil when he told his Midlands audience: “As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding. Like the Roman, I seem to see 'the River Tiber foaming with much blood'.”

He quoted one of his constituents, who had told him: “In this country in 15 or 20 years' time, the black man will have the whip hand over the white man.”

There has always been a racist element in Britain, as in most societies. Powell’s speech went down well with his Conservative audience, and it electrified the far right, to whom he remains a hero.........
