Is there a press conference today?

If so could Rob ask the blatant questions:

What is going to change in next 3 games to turn round results?

Why leave subs so late and why always like for like Dijksteel/Ayling, Engel/Thomas for example.

Why not give some of the kids a chance as the experienced players have not earned the right to keep trying again and again. Hackney proved last season that given a chance they can make a difference. It needs asking.

But these conferences are the only chance folk have the chance to ask questions we want to know. If he doesn't answer it says more about him than a straight answer would.

It's unusual these days for it to be the day before the game I think. Not against it, I wonder if Carrick was told to have a day off and chill without answering more questions he doesn't want to answer. Which is fair. We want answers he probably doesn't have or doesn't want to give. A day off from that is probs worth a lot.

Carrick's “Media Conference” on the day before the Hull game was an informal “chat”, which lasted all of about seven minutes.
With mid-week games, they tend to be shorter and less general.
I doubt we will hear a different tune.

Can we ask……Michael, with fans disillusioned and threatening to leave in their droves, what confidence can you give for the future, that may give people a second thought over renewing their season tickets and how do you plan to turn things round this season with the resources and personnel you have at your disposal?

Same old, same old. I sometimes wish they would ask what we are all thinking, like why do you insist on playing out from the back when the current defence and midfield players can’t hack it, and are not suited to those tactics. Why can’t you adapt the style of play to suit certain situations. Just wish these so called reporters would grow a pair and accept the consequences.

Those questions were asked - listen again.

One thing I will say is that Carrick did seem very relaxed. I did expect him to be a bit more tetchy. Credit to the man, we can get pi55y, he can't afford to.

I don't know who the female journalist was who went first but she certainly didn't pull the punches in her questions and didn't leave much for anyone else to ask really, I thought she was brilliant!

not a lot of emotion from MC ... he is laid back but inside he is hurting
I thought the opposite. I thought he believes in his approach and will look to tweak that approach rather than abandon it.

Additionally I thought he was very relaxed.
