Most underrated premier player ever

Andy Cole didn't earn many England caps neither due to the era he was playing in, with the likes of Shearer, Sheringham, Owen, Fowler etc which also means he's rarely mentioned when speaking of past PL players.

I always thought Gary Speed was a really good player, even though he played for clubs I dislike. I felt he only got true recognition when he sadly died.
It pains me to say it but I think that whole Leeds midfield was underrated in my opinion. Speed, Batty, Macallister and Strachan were as formidable as any midfield in the good old 442 days.

Leeds never really get the credit for winning the league that they probably deserved. Whether that’s because it was Man United who threw it away, or because it was the last season before the Premier League or even because Leeds didn’t win it Cantona did (despite only starting a handful of games for them), I’m not sure.
