Keith Lemon/Avid Merrion/Whatever his name is.

Is the word 'edgy' involved? I'm guessing of course, could be entirely unrelated. Anyway, dunno club for me.

I shall submit "edgy" as a synonym for "talentless charm void" to the OED tomorrow. Someone should be told.

hes watchable but in small doses... couldnt imagine a full live show with him alone ... he bounces of other people to get the laughs

Lets not rewrite history though.

Horses for courses, but Bo Selecta in the early 00s was indisputably massive, certainly amongst young adults like myself (at the time). When I was at uni we wouldn’t go out on a Friday night til it had finished.

And I did find it absolutely hilarious. Especially the Michael Jackson and David Blaine stuff (amongst others).

Of course it won’t have aged well (though I haven’t watched it back) but it was very much of its time and I get a nice sense of nostalgia when I think about that show at its peak. Maybe it’s more to do with the age I was at the time.

That all said, I’ve never been able to get into Celebrity Juice or his other stuff. The odd line is funny but that’s about it.

Yes, Bo Selecta was massive.

I lost interest when Keith Lemon emerged. Just not funny and most of what he did / said hasn’t ages well either! Very pervy.

Controversial but I quite enjoyed the Keith Lemon Sketch Show.

It was a bit hit and miss but this Britain's Got Talent parody was spot on.

He was one of those characters where the joke was really on the people that found him funny and the reactions he got from people, similar to Sacha Baren Cohen's Ali G and Borat.

You weren't supposed to think Keith Lemon was a comic genius, if you did I think you were missing the point.

Like when he did David Dickinson

He has a show on Virgin Radio now

I find a lot of comedy has a time and a place. Some stuff I found hilarious at one point in my life is difficult to explain to others.

Boselecta is definitely one of those things. Little Britain is similar for me.

Bo Selecta was brilliant, but definitely a product of its time. I think Spice Girl Mel B hated it, the humourless cow. Craig David saw the funny side, however.

His take on Jimmy Carr (shown before one of Jimmy's live tours) took us all by surprise when we saw it

Craig David claimed that Bo Selecta was bullying, even though I’m sure he appeared in person on it and it probably helped revive a flagging career.

I found it funny at the time, not seen for years so can barely remember most of it. I thought Keith Lemon was utter drivel.
