This thread read made me watch some Bo selecta on YouTube… funny as feck 😂
The bear was brilliant.

It was typical humour of its day before everyone started getting offended.
The office, Royal family, fantasy football, little Britain etc

Leigh Francis is a genius, I’m hopefully going to see him olin Leeds next week.

No idea what to expect from his gig

Horses for courses, but Bo Selecta in the early 00s was indisputably massive, certainly amongst young adults like myself (at the time). When I was at uni we wouldn’t go out on a Friday night til it had finished.

And I did find it absolutely hilarious. Especially the Michael Jackson and David Blaine stuff (amongst others).

Of course it won’t have aged well (though I haven’t watched it back) but it was very much of its time and I get a nice sense of nostalgia when I think about that show at its peak. Maybe it’s more to do with the age I was at the time.

That all said, I’ve never been able to get into Celebrity Juice or his other stuff. The odd line is funny but that’s about it.

Series 1 and 2 of Bo Selecta were great.

Series 3 was where it went downhill with the Keith Lemon character and a puppet called cōcknose, if I remember correctly, which had a cōck for its nose. Hilarious! 🙄

I did like the later sketches of Ant & Dec, though.
