Certainly seems to be a lot of talk around about McGree wanting to move on, not heard so much about Forss.

Worst thing about Boro rumours over the years is that they usually turn out to be true.

He’s not getting a premier league move. He’s been a decent performer for us in the championship but has a poor injury record. Let’s be honest he’s going absolutely no where. Certainly not to a premier league club.
 
Forss was injured 16th March and he's already out for the season which ends 4th May ????
Hamstring injury wound be rarely more than 6 weeks maximum.....Hmmmmm 🤔

There’s only 6 games left , after this season with the injured we’ve had we may well just make sure he’s heals properly ready for a good pre season .
If we miraculously made the playoffs he may well become available .

4 of them are in the premier league and won’t be interested in signing him if they stay in the premier league. Watford won’t be able to pay 5 million plus that we would want.

They would be decent bench/squad options on top of the quality signings required.

I don’t agree on Forss over Jones, Forss might get more goals but Jones brings more to the team overall. His injury was the main reason for our form drop in Jan. massively underrated by some of our fans. It wasn’t an issue when Akpom was controlling games, but since he left we need other players to do more. Forss just doesn’t do enough off the ball and he’s a tad too fragile.

I take your point that Jones brings more to the game than just goals and I agree. It's not a straight forward decisions between Forss and Jones. Both bring different things to the table.

I don't think it's right to pinpoint Jones being missing for being the main reason for our drop of form in January though. It coincided with Howson and Dieng being missing. Hackney bizarrely being played out of position and we were playing without a proper striker. There were numerous factors to that drop in form and some of it was down to some odd selections from Carrick.

While Jones was out, Forss scored 5 goals in 10 starts + 3 sub appearances. Jones has scored 6 all season from 25 starts + 4 sub appearances.

I would say our p1ss poor centre midfield constantly losing possession in our defensive 3rd plus a few GK errors were bigger contributing factors than Forss playing instead of Jones.
