Finn Azaz

Jury is definitely still out. I'll reserve judgement until next season. He's moved to a new club in jan. That's not easy. He's had the best part of 2 years at Plymouth.

You'd have to say recent game time suggests he's not overly impressing behind the scenes either.

That said he's young enough to still be a cracking signing for us. He's shown at Plymouth and in flashes that he's 'got something'.

I just think he's been a bit disappointing. I expected him to pretty much hit the ground running from day 1. He's been playing well in this league for the past 5 months. Although clearly it's not as easy as that when signing for a new club.

I'm not really sure that we know where to play him? What's his best position? He's not as dynamic or mobile as Rogers. Just has a bit of Barlaser about him. Looks good when given time and space.

So see how he goes after a full pre season and maybe the addition of a decent CF or two.
 
it was a strange one replacing Foss with Finn ... slowed the game right down ... would have thought Greenwood would have been a better replacement .

Both him and O’Brien today slowed everything down. I can’t see what they bring to the team that we didn’t already have.

It was that bad that when Barlaser came on he looked like a revelation as he brought some pace back… and let’s face it he isn’t known for that either

At one point Azaz was so far back he was in the middle of the defensive line, you could see Clark looking at him like what the hell are you doing here.
 
Was really poor yesterday but I still think he’s a decent player and will be good for us next season.

Felt like the wrong sub yesterday mind.
 
Dont know how fast Seri is but Azaz left him for dead on that break.

I thought similar with Crooks - he's quicker than people give him credit for.
 
There's a qualify footballer in there and he's only going to improve. Wish he would take a few more shots at goal though but maybe that's a confidence thing.

He is starting to link up really well with Lath. Exactly the type of clever player that you want behind a willing runner like Lath.

Give him time to settle. Think he is going to be a great player for us next season

I agree, he got bags of natural ability and that isn't something that can be coached.

His first touch for the goal, running flat out and under pressure, was perfect.
