Premier League introducing semi-automated offside from next season.

I’d prefer they fix FIFA and UEFA corruption, FFP, sports washing, Fit and Proper Ownership rules, the monopoly of the ‘big’clubs, spreading money down the pyramid system, club debts, laws of the game, footballers sportsmanship, rampant wages, the FA cup, ticket pricing, tv scheduling, and whole host other ****, before they starting bandaging a terrible VAR together some other **** idea….
 
Is it able to accurately spot toe nails and nasal hair? It's going to be have to if it wants to be as precise as it's been with Humans taking a look at it the last few years ..

Anyway, I thought they were bringing Wengers Offside in? Where there needs to be clear daylight between Attacker and Defender ..

About time, hopefully that'll help solve one of the biggest complaints with VAR in this country currently.

Should speed up the decisions for offsides significantly.

I made the point on another thread about VAR, that matters of fact shouldn't be too difficult to establish with the appropriate technology and hopefully offside decisions will soon be pretty much real time.

Wenger's idea was awful.

You'd just move the line for where to judge offside from, with exactly the same number of marginal offside calls, but give a huge advantage to the attacking players.
It wouldn't have solved any issues that people had with VAR.

Have lasers fixed on rails running parallel each other along the advertising board… following the last defender, they’d be so small you wouldn’t even know they were there.. there problem solved… can I watch match of the day again now, with out having hearing about it?
