Premier League atmosphere

Man City will win the league every year.

Quite possibly by breaking the rules.

Their fans know it, Liverpool and Arsenal fans (deep down) know it too.

So what is there to sing about?

United’s atmosphere is rubbish because their team is rubbish.
Does anyone actually know when they face judgement for breaking rules? Allegedly rule breaking for 9 consecutive seasons, yet nothing is seemingly done about it.

If proven it’s akin to Saracens in rugby and Man City should be relegated. I’d be tempted to take their titles too but that won’t happen.

The top Premier Clubs are protected brands - most of the matchday experience is quite corporate. Its starting to be like visiting Madame Tusards with moving figures. Look at Chelsea - it used to be a scary place to visit - the stadium was generally run down and a bit of working class life in a posh area. Now its like going to Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Tournament.

The atmosphere at Wembley yesterday was appalling all you could hear was muffled chat.

I always find most prem home fans are quite quiet. Some do have excellent away fans tho man u particularly

Yes it’s been set for next season.

They really do need to get on with it. And in my opinion there’s an asterisk against every trophy they’ve won since 2015. If they’re innocent then they need to explain in detail why/how and what Everton/Forest/Sheff Utd etc did that they didn’t.

When was the last time? I should’ve added it’s only really been the last couple of seasons. Think they have a drummer now, that might explain it 😂
Just looked and the last two games I went to was the FA Cup game v Arsenal then before that it was the 0-0 draw at Home to Burnley in Jan 2022.

I took my lad who would have been 7 at the time and we were in the hospitality area. I was in awe at the quality of everything but he just commented that it wasn't as fun as being in the Boro end 😂. TBF he mainly goes to away games, so it's always more lively.

Have absolutely no axe to grind here. Like I say, I go to the games occasionally on the work dime, know people who work at the club in the community side who do an amazing job. The stadium is fantastic, the setup is brilliant and they are a very community focused club in the local area of north London.

Just find that the atmosphere is objectively poor.

All seaters.

Back in the days of terraces you'd generally get the older lot eventually moving out of the more vocal areas and being replaced by the next generation. Now you have people whove sat in the same seat for 20+ years and they probably feel a bit old to be jumping around singing etc
I know I don't have the energy of when I was in my teens and I'm only in my 30's.

It's why a lot of grounds are seeing their traditional kops change area, because groups need to find an area to move to.
