Teesside/Newcastle airport & Loganair

Wonder what the Teesvalley mayor has to say about this news. x12 flights a week lost with Loganair pulling out of Teesside. Also pulling out of Newcastle as well unfortunately.

After the mayoral debate earlier today I wonder what plans the x3 potential candidates have for the airport?
The Gazette ran articles on cheap flights from Newcastle last week, I wonder what Big Bad Ben thought of that.

Aberdeen route continuing with Eastern Airways, up to 2 flights a day from September. Hopefully get the 3rd flight on again like 5/6 years ago.

Guess who’s taking the credit…

I think It was inevitable that Eastern would move back in full time after the KLM contract happened.

How will Eastern make it pay if Loganair couldn't? Do they have some advantages that Loganair don't? Or is BenT bunging them a fat tax payer subsidy? It's not as if traffic will grow, as it's only the same O&G people shuttling up and down.
