Topps v Panini Stickers

Got one to do with my son reluctantly as I didn't like that it was Topps, there's a plaggy feeling about it compared to the traditional Panini.
Luckiky he doesn't seem to arsed, and thank fck at a quid a pack!

If you didn't send off for some.

I reckon it cost us £300-400 and that includes sending off for about the last 250.

I've told him we're not doing the Euro one, at least not with the intention of completing it. The cards are better as there's less sense of needing to 'complete' something.
The cards are £2.50 per packet! Granted you get around 10-12 but it is completely a joke.

My son recently started the NBA sticker book as hes bang in to basketball but was surprised, the other week, to see that they had been removed from the shelves and discontinued even though there is still about 2 months left of the season!!

I've just picked up the Topps and the Panini books from Morrisons, they're giving them away for free so I thought why not, bloke working there practically asked me to take as many as I wanted.

Asked if he had any actual packs in stock and he said no 🤷‍♂️

They always give them away free to reel you into buying the stickers which of course is where they make the money. It's like printers and mens razors given away cheaply - but the ink and blades are expensive! Resist!

Was it just Acklam Grange that briefly had the concept of "scrambles", before it got banned?

Once the sticker book was completed then the person who'd completed it, and had a fistful of swaps, would throw them all up in the air whilst scouting "scramble" and a punch-up normally ensued as people hoovered up what they could.
 Nah, we did this in Thornaby as well. You’ve just awakened a great memory.

Talking of awakening memories I wish the petrol companies would bring back the coin collections. They were superb.
