Anyone think houchen will get back in?

It doesn't help with no Council elections taking place in Darlington, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar whenever the Tees Valley Mayor is elected.
 
It's a legacy of decades of Labour doing fk all for Teesside.
The Labour vote was taken for granted.
Now the perception is that Houchin is delivering and the fkwits are believing the spin and lies.
It's shameful that Teessiders can't see past the poverty and ruin successive Tory Governments have been responsible for.
What has become of us.

It wasn't close enough to make a difference.

Why didn't Labour field a candidate with a bit of ooomph? I have a lot of friends who got nothing at all from the Labour guy. I don't know whether he just assumed he'd be a shoo in but that's complacency.

I agree not Tory or Labour but the two party’s do nothing for a man that works 5/7 days a week and is PAYE one wants to steal it the other wants to give it away to the great unwashed fk either way

Seen as though my 4skin lived to produce cheese for some more days in this election, I’ll stick it back on the line again. If labour don’t win at the GE my 4skin is for the chop!
 
As if to rub it in even more, when interviewed now...apparently he didn't wear a blue rosette because "he forgot it".

These people are openly taking the pi55 out of the electorate and they just lap it up. Shooting fish in a barrel.
 
I think this will be the high watermark of Houchen's time in office. The vote doesn't send away all the questions over his conduct, and he's going to be under continued scrutiny.

what are you on about??? Clearly not having a candidate would have made zero difference. Choosing a wet fat with zero personality and providing no inspiration, passion or zest for the fight is appalling. Its well known in political circles that Middlesbrough / Teesside Labour are incompetent and laden with inept and poor quality people. Compare Cooke and McEwan with Burnham. Its so poor is laughable and disgusting simultaneously. This election required a younger, fired up and aggressive leader willing to fight fire with fire. Someone engaged on social media with attack dog tactics. And yet here we are, outflanked standing behind someones grandad.
 
Shocking from the people of Teesside. I’ve said it before, but by comparison at least Scousers know who they are, and where they come from. They would never vote Tory and nor should people from Teesside.

It shows how easy the masses can be influenced and is pretty damning.
