Should we be judged on our writing skills on a football forum?

Like everything, it depends on the context. If you’re being respectful and putting forward a point of view, of course not.

But if you’re ridiculing someone’s intelligence, and can’t spell the word “predantic” yourself, it’s kind of fair game.

In the day and age of predictive text and spell checks, nobody should be maeking speeling mistaeks on an internet forum.
Bizarrely, I tend to find I make far more mistakes when using my mobile, with predictive text, over using the computer, with just a spellchecker.

The mobile quite often replaces a word just after you've finished typing it so you think you've written one thing and then you look back later to find it's wrong. It's a technology that's got worse over time, too.

Nobody expects everything to be grammatically correct, spelled correctly, and properly punctuated, but there are some posts on this site that are absolutely incomprehensible. Just take a few seconds to reread what you typed, and it'll improve dramatically.

I take the time to try to understand what people are commenting, but it seems they can't take a few seconds to make sure it's intelligible.
