Same old Royals- ripping us off again

Wow …there’s some chippiness on here tonight.

    MOTD running order

Can’t argue with that, we were awful to watch that season

    MOTD running order

For anyone who thinks the order of play is determined by quality of game, think again. Sheff Uniteds 3 all draw with Fulham came after Man Uniteds spawny one all draw with Brentford. Seems the Beeb’s impartiality doesn’t extend to showing unfashionable sides ahead of the big boys even if its...

    it's not all over

Like your optimism, but you know how it goes -battling point at high flying Southampton , lose at home to relegation threatened Wednesday.

    Latte Lath into double figures

Ok so he’s no Chuba, but then no one was going to be, but whisper it quietly , he’s not looking half bad. Considering he’s had to deal with a complete change in language and culture and injuries haven’t helped, double figures isn’t a bad return. Next season let’s hope he hits the ground running.

    Muniz

I think we just had players who were playing very well at the time so whenever he played he seemed superfluous and it must have affected his confidence. It’s typical that now we can’t buy a goal he’s on fire for Fulham, but I don’t think there’s anything we would have done differently. At the time.

I wish that drummer would STFU

Terrible result and a terrible atmosphere yesterday but I can’t tell you how irritating that incessant drumming was. As we were playing worse and worse the RF drummer banged louder and louder to his band of 10 acolytes. It was Totally self indulgent and inappropriate for the misery of the second...

Surely Dieng has to start today

Glover was awful today , didn’t make a clean take all day. Always seems to need a second grab. I don’t think the Defence trust him either and thats obviously contributing to the general malaise at the back. Needs to be dropped for the next game and Seny played until the end of the season.

Surely Dieng has to start today

On balance Tom Glover has done OK between the sticks since Dieng has been out injured. He's made some blinding saves , but he's also been beaten too easily , particularly in recent games. He had a howler diving over the ball at the near post to give Sunderland a point at the Riverside and had a...

We are hopeless in the final third

Absolutely clueless. We get round the back of the fullbacks easily but how many pullbacks miss everyone? Its criminal. I can’t work out whether our lack of strikers means no one has any instrict for a run or are our full backs and wingers so poor that no striker would get on the end of the awful...

    Josh Coburn

I don’t think he’s the answer. I know he’s carrying an injury but he looks completely out of his depth whenever he comes on. Lacks pace, has a poor touch and doesn’t particularly hold the ball up well. I have a feeling he’s destined for a decent league 2 /League 1 career but I can’t see it being...

    Sunderland crowd

Bit Harsh Sunderland are a better supported side than us. The last time Boro had 40,000 at our home game was 1963. Let thank sink in 1963 - Ironically against Sunderland.

    D’oh - sausage fingers - Lawrence Shankland.

    Lawrence Frankland

Apparently we’re being linked with this guy who is the Hearts striker. He has scored shed loads in the SPL including 28 last year and he is apparently available for £4 million. Does anyone know anything about him. My only concern would be whether he would be able to do it in the Champo. Gordon...

    Matt Crooks

I agree , he doesn’t concede possession as much as the others and he has ‘good feet for a big man’ as they say. He’s definitely worth keeping.

Terrific eye for a killer pass - Really effective player

    Terry Venables has died

Great Legacy on Teesside - saved Boro from almost certain relegation. Blotted his copybook thereafter by going to Leeds but very fondly remembered. Random fact - the onlly player he was credited with bringing to the club in his tenure was Dean Windass. You're welcome

Just look at the support proposed for Irelands unemployed.....

It's a lot easier to be more generous with your unemployed when the population is 5 million as opposed to 68 million. Its also awash with cash from tech giants such as Google, Amazon etc who base themselves there to avoid paying taxes in places such as GB. Just saying

We are a bloody good team

The beauty of this Boro side is that we now have an established style of play. It means that even with massive injuries like we’re currently experiencing MC can just drop in 2 or 3 players and they all know their roles. Brilliant to watch and a fantastic transformation

    Boro’s last 12 EFL games

Played 12 Lost 8 Draw 4 Admittedly a couple of those were play off games , but in reality we’ve taken 4 points from the last 36. If you extrapolated that we’re on course to finish the season with around 15 points. Just shows how far we’ve fallen from the giddy heights of last April.
