Akpom back?

I just wonder if there’s a part of him that might want to get back to a place where he’s appreciated and had the best season of his career. We could offer a bumper bonus if we get promoted and get outs if we don’t plus a fair buy out valuation.
 
How anyone could say they wouldn't have Chuba back is beyond me. His current wages probably mean it's very unlikely to happen but if we could do it I would have him back here tomorrow, even if it was a loan. His goals from the number 10 position with Latte Lath in front of him, the two would be absolutely deadly. A front 2 like that would give us a great chance of promotion. His goals per minute ratio at Ajax is very good, he's just not getting the game time he deserves.

I don't blame Chuba for leaving, the lad came back for pre season training and was told he didn't even have a squad number and had to train with the youth team. He then got his head down and had the season of his life. I would have him back in a heartbeat.

I doubt that we could afford him or that he would be minded to come back whilst we are in this league and there is the "never go back" thing. But I would love to see him back here if it could be done.

If he actually came back, he'd want to be here and he'd be incredible. I'll withdraw this opinion when someone names a better player we've had during our championship exile. Superb player, superb person, only good could come from a scenario where we got THAT band back together.
