Assombalonga, Fletcher & Akpom

With attacking options a priority for us this summer it's good that players in the same bracket that we ourselves are looking to bring in are in the mix.

Eg teams competing for the likes of Diedhiou will be looking at Britt, Fletch and Akpom as possibilities for themselves.

systems & teams - styles of play - suit some players more than others & the balance of both team & squad affects the ability, or not, of all players - it's just strikers, measured on goals they score are an easy target or sometimes easily found out to be lacking in an area of their game.

Britt - did great at Forest, however failed to deliver anything like his supposed ability in 4 years at Boro, he & his agent may think he's the same player & worth a bigger contract than he was on at Boro... I doubt few clubs will agree & I think it will be tough to find a club willing to front load a fat contract that he can sit on for another 4 years at their expense - find himself a club that plays two strikers up top & he may just find something like his long past form..

Fletcher - 25 & a career that is still floundering on take off - really needs to find himself a club where he starts, stays free of injury & puts some stats on his wiki. If he goes hunting big money he'll be unemployed in August & looking for trials.. possibly end up in Aus or maybe China. He needs to be playing & think possibly QPR, maybe one of the relegated teams (a mistake, as he'll be on the bench, though best chance of ££) or other London club..

Akpom - another 25 & needs to get his career up & running, back in the day these players would be playing non-league footy by now having failed - MASSIVLEY - to make the break through. I hope Boro can get some of what they paid for him back - ticks lots of boxes on FIFA - unfortunately unless he gets the next move right he could be packing boxes at Amazon by the time he's 30..

All of our soon to be ex-strikers have ability, they need to find #1 a team that plays a style of football that suits their game & be coming in as #1 striker, esp Fletch & Akpom.. they should put money way down their priority, a decent contract with some performance bonuses to boost their earnings -if - they deliver the goals, league position & cup run... show the clubs they are signing for they are there for the competition, not the contract..

As for players Boro need to bring in - more like Watmore..
