If ever a team reflected their manager it’s this bunch of cheating rats. I’m no lover of the Scousers but I hope they thump these 10 nil!!

Absolutely love Simeone and Atleti, genuinely think the guy is one of the best managers in the world right now - his record speaks for itself.

That said, they've been shown up twice by Liverpool now which suggests a strong EPL this season and potentially another English UCL winner?

You'd think the winner will either be from the PL or Bayern. PSG obviously can't be ruled out but always seem to blow it.

Spanish football isn't in a great place right now.

PSG's defending is absolutely terrible which is incredible when you look at the players they've got playing back there and Ramos hasn't even played for yet either. In saying that there are rumours from the spanish press that PSG are looking for rip up Ramos' contract before January.

My money this season is on Bayern. The squad they have is incredible.

Bayern look the team to beat for me as well. City are doing the business seemingly in first gear, more to come from them but I'm not convinced (yet) that they'll win it. Would love to see Ajax have a good run again, their brand of football is incredible.

I was at PSG v Angers a few weeks ago and despite a late penalty to win 2-1 they looked poor. Their attacking fullbacks pushed forward constantly allowing them to be exposed down the wings every time Angers broke and their midfield was incredibly unbalanced. I think Poch wants a couple of "battlers" in the middle but Herrera/Gueye/Danillo don't really cut it at UCL level. There seems to be little style or substance to their play at the moment other than feeding it into Mbappe every time.

That Kimpembe at PSG is truly awful. And to think this is a club that let Thiago Silva leave because he was "old" and then went and signed Ramos, who is around the same age and a complete crock.

Hakimi is a hell of a player but he's not a right back or a wing back for that matter. He should be playing further up the field. I'd much rather have him playing where Di Maria was last night for example.

Neymar Mbappe Hakimi

Messi in a free role behind those three.

Hakimi as RWB under Conte for Inter last season was absolutely incredible.

He's one of the best wing backs in the world.

I still think Poch will get to grips with this incredible talented squad.

They can beat anyone on their day.

Favourites for me are Liverpool. Their first 11 IMO is the best in the world....it's making sure they stay injury free is what will be the problem.

Agreed. His season at Inter was phenomenal. I just think he could bring so much more to a team by playing higher up the field is all.
Watched the highlights of PSG's draw with Leipzig last night, it must be frightening been a central defender and having Mbappe running at you, the lad is rapid and his control of the ball is something else.

Simeone is a genius who has won the league title twice in a two horse race where he has the third horse, and has been a sliver away from winning the Champions League - twice.

The best team in this year’s competition is Liverpool. So underrated by everyone because of their injuries to all their best players last season but 25 games unbeaten, they’re still the best team in Europe.

I was shocked by any pundit who didn’t put them to finish first or second the the Premier League, and still shocked that Trent Alexander-Arnold doesn’t even get in the squad for England.

He does, he just isn't guaranteed a start.

He's missed the few last squads through injury, including at the Euros.
I fully expect he'll be called up at 2pm today.

Hakimi was on the bench when I went, agree he was fantastic last season though. Absolutely nothing defensively in front of him this time round though which is he's exposed.

Kimpembe was probably Paris' best player when I saw them - he had to be to continually bale the defence out. His last ditch tackles were perfect every time, a lesser player would have been sent off about four times :ROFLMAO:

How good is Lewandowski by the way? Why have none of the other big European clubs thrown money at him? 80+ goals in 100 Champions League games. 28 hat tricks in his career for club and country.

Unbelievable goal scorer, best in the world right now (Haaland is out injured ;) )

Assume he must be happy where he is, he's also 33 so clubs may target a longer term investment? Hopefully he "does a Podolski" and heads back to Poland before retirement, would love to go watch him there.

For me he's better than Haaland. That's not taking anything away from Haaland's meteoric rise to the level he's currently playing at. Ultimately I believe Haaland will develop into a better player than Lewandowski. Scary when you take into account Haaland is still only 21. Out injured till after the Xmas break I think.

Yep agree, would love to be a Dortmund season ticket holder right now. Moukoko in the wings too

Think they're hopeful he's back for Bayern game 4th December.

First goal, I love how Coman, with one touch and a shimmy beats two defenders.
