While watching a documentary by Alan Shearer on the subject in 2017, she asked her husband if, knowing everything they did now, he would do it all again. "He said 'I would've stopped in a heartbeat'," Judith says.

I was wondering if anyone had read the book in the article and what they thought of it. I will try and get a copy. I can remember watching Bill play for Boro as a child.

Just read that, very sad. I remember talking to Bill and John Craggs in the store with my young son, think it was one at Teesside Park. A lovely man.

I used to get Subbuteo sets from his store in Dundas arcade - they were the old school style with textured kits..

nice they had a great life together, it seems, though not the way anyone should go..
