Broadband help

I am currently with Virgin Media for my broadband and it my contract is up the end of this month.

I have been looking at 3's 5G Broadband Hub. On their website it says that I have good 5G coverage where I live and it seems a reasonable price for the speed you get. (Reviews have got 720 mbps)

I am not a gamer but I do watch IPTV. Anybody got this or have any views on it?
 
I wouldn’t use 5g for iptv you need a consistent connection have a look in your area for other providers like youfibre or cityfibre. 5g is effectively the same as your phones internet connection yes download speed can be high but is your 5g connection always good i get really poor coverage at my home address
 
I'd recommend YouFibre or similar rather than a broadband connection that relies on mobile phone infrastructure too.
 
Just switched to youfibre, highly recommended....can't belive I have put up with sky crap for so long.
 
Just switched over to Virgin from Sky. Saving £70 a month to get almost the same package.
 
Related to the op, we've recently installed a Huawei 4G router in a holiday lodge where broadband isn't available. Running off a Smarty Mobile Unlimited data sim I've been really surprised at how well it handles streaming. Only £20 a month, no contract and you can get 10% off if you add more sims to a group plan.

The Three 5G one is only £20pm with the first three months free.
 
I phoned Virgin last month regarding them increasing the price of the Volt package and I must have got the apprentice. He's made huge changes to the price in my favour and I am only paying £19.87 for my Volt package and £29.32 for my mobile phone. The mobile gone up £4.32 with O2's price increase.

It is very rare that I score one when it comes to things like this but I feel like I have this time.
