Charlie Austin yes or no ? He has got offers from the USA to and West brom still have one year option on him, if there want to take it on him.
 
He scored a few for QPR although ended up benched towards the end of his spell.

I am not sure he fits our 'style'. I am presuming we will carry on playing the same way so we need a target man (probably 2). I just think Austin or someone like Gayle would be no better than Britt or Akpom in that 'role'. I am not saying he ain't 'better' just playing in the role we'd want them too.

I also think he's on 50k a week (like Gayle). We wouldn't pay half that and will have simply no resale value after a 2-3 year contract.

I would say no.... Although he's a better finisher than anything we have. Although not hard as we have one forward and he's been told he can leave 😂
 
I'd have him, but it has been said that money would be a real stumbling block, so do we seemingly have to take risks and take on such as Akpom who looks like a player and commands "only" a transfer fee of a couple of million, but may turn out to be not quite the player we thought he might be ?

The days of "investing" in £10M+ dud strikers are long gone, so perhaps we try and bring thru our own, and pray.
 
Seems more bothered about a career in the media at the moment than, not sure coming up to teesside will be of interest to him at the moment. To far away from talk sport studio. Fully expect him to re sign for QPR.
