I wonder what the impact of having 3 seasons out of the game had on him physically? (he was rumoured to be joining boro before the rape accusation btw)

Any more news on Matt Clarke? This back injury wounds seriuos enough, nerve injury and with no mention of a return date..

What do you mean by this? Apologies if that's a stupid question, just not sure what it's supposed to get at. Do you mean similarly to the whole head injury issue that's plaguing players from the 70s/80s?

I misread it and thought he meant something contagious... and wondered how an operation would help. lol. i assume he means something like a TBI or neck injury from heading the ball.

Yes I meant that sort of thing. It seems players in rugby and American football have had it, but he seems to be the first footballer. Guess - and it is only a guess - it's a lot of knocks on the neck or using the neck a lot eg heading in football

If they’re talking bout a future return to playing I can’t see it being a brain injury. It sounds more like a spinal issue. Maybe a bulging disc or something. Not something you would want to be playing with especially in the neck vertebrae.

I think - because I only caught the end of a conversation and didn't catch the player's name.
