I could not believe it was that long. Wow! 30 yrs - I was so pleased to be asked to contribute to this tribute penned by Daniel Taylor of The Athletic. We had a good chat about Cloughie and Middlesbrough.. I was able to tell him about the long queues when he signed his biography in the bookshop in Cleveland Centre. Really long. Because everyone in Middlesbrough seemed to know the Clough family and he had time for them all.
It was an honour to help out remembering one of Middlesbrough's all time greats.
By the way the family made it clear they love his statue and love it in Albert Park - the location is very precious to them also.

Reportedly he regretted staying at Forest for that final season.
Ironic - his last match was a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich in May 1993 and Trees were relegated from the Premiership.
