Cordless Lawn mowers

Live in the top floor of a tower block in Tottenham, am also a chronic hay fever sufferer. The further away I am from people chopping up green stuff the better!

I have a zero turn gas powered mower which works great for me. My yard is not really big enough for it mind haha, but a friend of mine gave it to me so might as well utilize it. I do use a battery powered weed trimmer though which works great.

I get frustrated by the fact that it runs out of battery mid cut and have to recharge it to finish the job. Then it rains while it’s charging and so you have a half mown lawn for a week.

We use a petrol mower. Never any bother in 4 years. We have a huge garden though and need one.

Quick going up and down but heavy if you have an irregular shaped lawn and you have to move the mower around at an angle.

We have used a GTech Falcon cordless for the last 5 years, all I can really say is that it’s a super bit of kit, and the battery seems to last forever. I like GTech’s products, I have the cordless hedge and shrub cutter, branch cutter and stringless strimmer, all of which are top notch.

If it's cutting out mid cut you haven't got the right battery power for your lawn. Ideally you want something that lets you cut all your lawn at least twice. That could mean picking up an extra battery depending on the cost.

I definitely don't miss going to fill up the Jerry can, and getting my petrol mower serviced by a decent firm used to cost me a hundred quid a year, my electric costs me £35

If you can service it and sharpen it yourself a petrol cylinder mower will be great and cheap to buy second hand
