FMTTM Coffee Club

Usual please love, how to impress someone.
Yeah a £1 pot of tea. Actually made me think while waiting for the other person, maybe I am not a grey man. The waitress we tourtured, recognised me.

Edit. Had banter with not tourtured!!!!!

It was great catching up with majority of posters I have only known through threads but we all got on great
People shouldn't knock these meetings, its not who is going, its what we get out of it. In the long past when I posted on here I mentioned from time to time, especially nights, I would feel down & as a pick up I would delve in to my memorabilia & before I knew it I had posted numerous threads on here from Boro days gone by to music of my youth, posters would return comments which in turn would see my spirits lifted & I was on the road to feeling good about myself again

When I left the coffee club to meet my wife in the town I was buzzing, I contacted both my son & daughter to tell them so, they were both overjoyed at hearing what I was saying, just seeing people look at my collection smiling, gushing over photos, tickets etc, with such fondnesss & the comments I received blew me away, I actually felt 10 feet tall. I lost my sister only weeks before & following her passing I have been dealt another hammer blow so believe me, moments like this are gold, so many thanks @Norman_Conquest & @guisborough_rob for kicking this off

Looking forward to the next one, whenever that may be, more chatting, more Boro retro with more memorabilia on show

Fair play to you Erimus for returning to the forum to share your great experience. I know we've not seen eye to eye over the years but I certainly wish you well.

It was lovely to meet you Erimus and I could have spent all day poring over your 73-4 scrapbook. I have such fond memories of the season and going to matches with my dad and younger brother. I was showing my brother my photos of your scrapbook and he said how much he’d have loved to have seen it. Thank you so much for your efforts in digging these out and sharing your memories with me.

Condolences on the loss of your sister but I am pleased that we at least made your spirits rise a little on Saturday.

Great news mate, was nice to put a face to a name and I'm gland that people are getting something out of these coffee club meetings, all thanks to Norman Conquest and guisborough-rob for getting this started. It's nice to see it growing and I hope we can attract a few more with hair as us baldies are taking over.

Welcome back to the board! 😊

The next meeting of the FMTTM Coffee Club is Saturday 27th July at around 10.15am. We will meet again in Connexions Cafe on Linthorpe Road. As always, everyone is welcome, FMTTMers and others alike. It would be great to see some new faces (we had @HarryVegas and @Erimus74 join us last time).

@Norfolkred1 has kindly offered to book a couple of tables again but it would be good to see who is coming in case we have more to add to our already largeish number. There will be a couple of absentees due to holidays that we already know about.

I’m posting this today as there should be a fair few viewing the board this evening……#UTB and Come On England.

10 seems to be the good number. Hopefully a few more make the effort, need more to attend with hair to even the sides up.

I had hoped to get up for the next one, especially after chatting with Little Jimmy in Halifax the other week, but I have a prior booking with my brother that day. I have enough hair to go round, as and when I do make it. :)
