Footballers and celebrities to be banned from gambling adverts under new rules

Still not good enough.

Gambling adverts should be banned full stop.
This is 100% right.

that needs to cover the insidious number online casino and betting adverts on an evening as well as the equally hateful Bingo adds aimed at lonely people during the day by pretending its a community.

Gambling ads and sponsorship needs to be banned across every media and platform and from sports sponsorship just like the tobacco industry was/is.

Totally agree - The number of adverts on the tele is ridiculous and all aimed at the vulnerable.

Gambling adverts are always full of smiles, people winning all the time and bright colours. In reality this is rarely the true picture of someone who gambles.

As above gambling adverts should be banned all together....including Bingo adverts as well

This and continuing to sell council houses was Blair's biggest disaster of a home based policy.

The law should be if the country of ownership is not the UK a betting tax of 40%

A maximum spend on an account of £50 a week.

Nah, I am messing about, close them all down. If you want a bet get off your horse and go to a bookies.

Ah but remember when the fun stops..stop

How the hell they got away with this I’ll never know.

It’s an addiction the fun never stops there the point.

Can we also add payday loans to this list of things that should be banned around sport.
You`re right Norman. What is the point of banning betting and gambling-related advertising, etc, from players and billboards when the logo is plastered across the shirts! - For all to see by the TV Cameras, club shop, outside the ground and online?!

Perhaps Boro can sever their contract with 32 Red and set a positive example to the other 91?
