Is the ticket website playing up again?

Saw that the club were bigging up Wednesdays game and telling people to make sure to get their tickets .. so I casually went across to the webby to look at how many had been sold .. and it's basically none .. especially as it's only 2 days to go ..

My section in the South West corner has barely sold any new tickets beyond season tickets ... the lower South stand has 100s of tickets left .. the East stand has barely shifted any .. and the North Stand is looking as empty as usual ..

This is potentially the biggest home game of the season .. against the best team in the league .. after a 4-0 away win and we're going for 9 home wins on the trot .. and we seem to be selling less tickets than Barnsley at home

I know they've opened a couple of extra blocks in the South Stand and some might have moved - but those aren't even half full
 
My guess is that they have worked out demand will be high esp on the day. There's 8k tickets left. Even if we sell 4k that's a lot more than normal.

For once they are doing the right thing. Trying to get a big crowd through excitement but avoid the usual last minute rush.
 
SKY showing the game live will not have helped ticket sales. Also many people finding it difficult financially does help with a lot of games in April. If I had only £30 for a ticket this week it would be for the Saturday game.

But I was a bit surprised to see quite a few empty seats in the newly opened South Stand blocks.
 
5 home games in April.
If folk are understandably picking and choosing, then a mid week game live on sky may not be first choice.
 
Well if my experience to go by this morning, im not surprised weve not sold many.
Three quaters of an hour wait to get from 35th in the queue to 16th. only able to buy 1 ticket online. Im not surprised if people give up & think fxxc it i'll watch in the pub / telly. Terrible endorsement for the club.
 
I agree customer service on ticket sales needs a lot of improvement.

If 19 people were served in 45 minutes something is wrong - how many people are manning the phones - one person?- get Fisher and Ameobi on the phones.
