I think tonight will be spent enjoying a few of these and the last few episodes of Brassic before the new series starts! Cheers one and all

I've got a good stash of these in the garage. Roaring fire tonight.

We're all up for the strong stuff eh. I love that WI Porter, bought a few bottles from the Coop in the village last week. I also have a couple of bottles of the Champion from Lidl. It's about 7.5% isn't it?

I think it's 7.3% though might well be wrong. Either way you wouldn't want too many or you might not remember drinking the stuff! The WI Porter is a lovely drink too, I don't mind IPAs and really enjoy quite a few different types, but nothing beats dark ales for me.

It's a free beer night for me thanks to the wonderful people at BrewDog

I actually have a great story that I tell everyone about Brewdog, they really are a breath of fresh air. Last summer I ordered quite a lot of beer from them as I wanted to get the free delivery (that's what I tell myself anyway) so ended up with quite a large variety of different cans. I think all told there were between 40-50 cans. Anyhow, one can in a 4 pack had been damaged in transit and so was half empty, though other than soggy packaging it didn't affect anything else. I wrote them a light-hearted jokey email saying how tragic it was that a can of superb beer hadn't fulfilled it's ambition in life to be gratefully enjoyed and was saddened that it's life had been cut short, or at least words to that effect. I didn't really expect much of a response and was really just in jest more than anything else, or thought they may at best send me another 4 pack of the type that was damaged.

How wrong I was. They replaced EVERY single can I had ordered with the exception of the Barnard Castle Eye Test as they'd ran out of that, so I ended up with another 30-40 cans free from them. Now THAT is fantastic customer service in the extreme, and so even though not everyone likes their different drinks I always recommend people try them out.

Mrs F is just pulling the cork (unscrewin) a bottle of Mud House Sauvignon blank, plus nachos and dips. I’m doing fajitas tonight, then more wine. Enjoy everyone 👍

Well Wee Gord I’m finally joining the Friday crew, the rugby last week broke me.

Had one of those West Indian porters first up and got an old peculiar now. Special shout out for this stout. Definitely worth a try.

Old Empire IPA for me first, missed the 4pm cut off for House of the Trembling Madness again so had to resort to Morrisons instead.
